The activity aimed to promote and improve community cohesion and reconciliation among youths using the fun of sports, cooking competitions, and social networking to build resilience against violent extremist influences. The activity has directly engaged 200 youth out of which are 130 male and 70 women as peace ambassadors on peer2peer sensitization strategy on peacebuilding and countering violent extremism. Through club formation and peer2peer engagements, a total of 1,200 were directly reached with peacebuilding and P/CVE messages. These activities have created space for experience sharing on prevention and countering violent extremism among youths and promote their zeal for peaceful cohesion and forming a unified entity that tightens the space for VE penetration in insurgency-affected communities.
