Strengthening sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) prevention and response through effective engagement of local actors in Potiskum L.G.A Yobe State: This is a six months project for the period of October 2019 to March 2020 with a budget of 2,600,500 supported by the Centre for Democracy and Development with funding from Open Society in West Africa in an effort to strengthen responses to human rights violation within the context of counter insurgency in the Northeast. The project is currently ongoing and activities include; sensitization of women groups on SGBV prevention and response as well as build capacity for local actors such as traditional and religious leaders, youths, women leaders, vigilantes, and relevant governments officers in Potiskum L.G.A on how to respond to SGBV related issues through documentation and reporting as well as referral, linkages for effective utilization of available services.
